Everything went according to plan in Casale where third ranked Fastweb CM (8-3) beat 12th ranked Trenkwalder RE (4-7) 83-67. Trenkwalder RE was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. The former international forward Simone Pierich (198-81) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points and 5 rebounds. American guard Donell Taylor (198-82, college: UAB) contributed with 17 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Fastweb CM players scored in double figures. The former international center Alessandro Frosini (207-72) answered with 18 points and 8 rebounds and Mexican-American swingman Romel Beck (203-82, college: UNLV, agent: Luciano Capicchioni) added 16 points and 6 assists in the effort for Trenkwalder RE. Both coaches used bench players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Fastweb CM.
