Regular Season Round 11: Real Madrid - CAI Zaragoza 84-65
Date: December 12, 2010
Another interesting game for Real Madrid (9-2) which hosted CAI Zaragoza (4-7). Second ranked Real Madrid had an easy defeat 84-65. Real Madrid becomes that way a new leader after previos leader Caja Laboral lost their game. The game without a history. Real Madrid lead from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great evening for American guard Clay Tucker (195-80, college: Wisc.-Milwaukee, agent: Danny Servick) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points. International power forward Felipe Reyes (203-80) helped adding 14 points (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Five Real Madrid players scored in double figures. British-American forward Darren Phillip (201-78, college: Fairfield) responded with 18 points and 5 rebounds and American-German guard Chad Toppert (201-85, college: N.Mexico, agent: John Ebeling) scored 13 points. Both coaches used bench players seeing no chance for a win. Real Madrid is a new league leader. CAI Zaragoza dropped to the thirteenth position. They have the same record like 3 other teams. CAI Zaragoza will play next round against Blancos de Rueda trying to get back on the winning streak. Real Madrid will try to continue on it's current victory against second ranked Caja Laboral at Vitoria.
