D1 top team - Elitzur Ramla (9-1) had no problems winning another game on Monday. This time they crushed tenth ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (0-10) 111-62. The game rather controlled by Elitzur Ramla. Hapoel Tel-Aviv managed to win second quarter 23-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Elitzur Ramla dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Hapoel Tel-Aviv's 36. Five Elitzur Ramla players scored in double figures. At the losing side Latvian forward Laura Audere (180-84) responded with 22 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Rachel Jones (170-87, college: St.Mary's (TX)) scored 16 points and 4 assists. Elitzur Ramla have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They stay at first position. Tenth consecutive loss means that Hapoel Tel-Aviv is still at the bottom of the standings. Elitzur Ramla is looking forward to face Maccabi Ramat Hen (#4) at home in the next round. Hapoel Tel-Aviv will play against Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
