Regular Season Round 14: Rosa Radom - Gornik 66-60

No shocking result in a game in Radom where fourth ranked Rosasport (11-3) defeated 14th ranked Gornik (3-10) 66-60 on Wednesday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Gornik was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Rosasport outrebounded Gornik 46-24 including a 34-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was guard Michal Przybylski (194-84) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. The former international forward Pawel Wiekiera (206-78) chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Krzysztof Jakobczyk (183-86) produced 18 points and 4 assists and forward Marcin Sterenga (201-78) added 13 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rosasport has a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with ISS Sportino. Gornik lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with ten games lost. Rosasport will face league's leader AZS Politechnika Warszawska in Warszawa in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Gornik will play at home against Astoria (#15) in Bydgoszcz and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
