Regular Season Round 11: Snaefell - KR 94-80

Very significant was Snaefell's (#1) 94-80 home victory against 4th placed KR. was very close to get their first win. But it seems they have to wait a little bit longer. KR was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Snaefell were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international guard Palmi Sigurgeirsson (190-78) who led the winners and scored 28 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard Sean Burton (175-86, college: Ithaca) accounted for 21 points and 8 assists for the winning side. The former international swingman Pavel Ermolinskij (202-87) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists and the former international forward Hreggviaur Magnusson (198-82) added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for KR in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. KR's coach Hrafn Kristjansson rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Snaefell (10-1) have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. Current champion stay at first position. KR is currently in third place with a 7-4 record as they suffered their fourth loss. Snaefell will play against Fjolnir (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. KR will play against Stjarnan (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
