Regular Season Round 14: Antibes - Clermont 79-71

Date: December 17, 2010
No shocking result in a game when thirteenth ranked Antibes (6-8) won at home against 16th ranked Clermont (4-10) 79-71 on Friday. Clermont was trailing by 6 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 21-11 charge of Antibes, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was Belgian power forward Sacha Massot (204-83, agency: LBM Management) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Serbian guard Milos Bojovic (198-81, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 10 points and 5 rebounds. Four Antibes players scored in double figures. American guard O'Darien Bassett (188-86, college: Troy) produced 25 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import swingman Dreke Bouldin (202-80, college: Fresno St.) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Clermont's coach Regis Racine let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. The victory allowed Antibes (6-8) to climb to the eleventh place. They share it with Le Portel and Nantes. Clermont is currently in fifteenth position with a 4-10 record as they suffered their tenth loss. Antibes will meet higher ranked Rouen (#3) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Clermont will play against Chalons-Reims (#8) and hope to secure a win.
