Eleventh-ranked Ola Verde (15-15) made lots of trouble for fifth ranked Halcones Rojos (25-11) in Poza Rica. The visitors from Veracruz managed to secure only three-point victory 81-78. However their fans expected much easier game. Ola Verde was ahead by 2 points after three quarters before a 16-11 charge of Halcones Rojos, which allowed them to win the game. They outrebounded Ola Verde 43-31 including 31 on the defensive glass.
