Regular Season Round 15: LKS Siemens - Artego Bydg. 67-69

Eleventh-ranked LKS Siemens (2-12) made lots of trouble for seventh ranked Artego (8-7) in Lodz. The visitors from Bydgoszcz managed to secure only two-point victory 69-67. However their fans expected much easier game. It looked good early as LKS Siemens took an 2-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Artego had a 21-16 second period charge getting the lead and LKS Siemens were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 67-69. It was a good game for the former international forward Agnieszka Szott (184-82, agency: Data Plus Group) who led her team to a victory with 22 points and 9 rebounds. American power forward Lori Crisman (186-82, college: W.Michigan) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Forward Magdalena Losi (173-80, agency: Promotex) answered with 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and Czech center Leona Jankowska (190-77) added 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for LKS Siemens. Artego moved-up to sixth place. LKS Siemens at the other side keep the eleventh position with twelve games lost. They share it with Odra Brzeg and Utex Row. Artego will play against higher ranked Energa Torun (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. LKS Siemens will play against Super-Pol (#8) in Leszno and hopes to get back on the winning track.
