Regular Season Round 16: GET Vosges - Sorgues 51-69

Very expected game when 14th ranked Get Vosges (6-10) lost to fifth ranked Sorgues (10-6) in Golbey 51-69 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 69-51. Sorgues dominated on the defensive end, holding Get Vosges to just 7 points in second quarter. They also forced 23 Get Vosges turnovers. Quite impressive performance for center Xavier Pasut (200-84) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 17 rebounds. Guard Arnaud Thinon (178-87) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Four Sorgues players scored in double figures. Central African forward Martial Gotagni (190-79) replied with 16 points and 8 rebounds and swingman A'Nsi Lema (197-84) added 12 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Get Vosges. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sorgues has a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Angers BC 49. Get Vosges lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with ten games lost. Sorgues will face league's leader Denain Voltaire at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Get Vosges will play against Lievin Basket (#16) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
