Regular Season Round 12: FCB Regal - FIATC Joventut 83-63

The most interesting game of round 12 in the ACB was a road defeat of 4th ranked DKV Joventut (7-5) by second ranked Regal FC Barcelona (9-3) who outscored them by 20 points 63-83. The game was mostly controlled by Regal FC Barcelona. DKV Joventut managed to win fourth quarter 26-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Regal FC Barcelona dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to DKV Joventut's 30. Regal FC Barcelona forced 21 DKV Joventut turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by DKV Joventut's players. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Victor Sada (192-84) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and American forward Terence Morris (207-79, college: Maryland) who added 14 points during the contest. Four Regal FC Barcelona players scored in double figures. Regal FC Barcelona's coach Xavier Pascual used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Canadian guard Carl English (192-81, college: Hawaii) with 14 points and 4 assists and forward Jordi Trias (207-80) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. Despite the victory Regal FC Barcelona stay at second position having just one point less than leader Real Madrid. DKV Joventut is currently in fourth place with a 7-5 record. Regal FC Barcelona are looking forward to face league's leader Real Madrid at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. DKV Joventut will play against Gran Canaria 2014 in Las Palmas and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
