Regular Season Round 4: Shandong FB - Xinjiang FT 73-103
Date: December 19, 2010
Not a big story in a game in Jinan where 15th ranked Shandong Bulls (1-3) were rolled over by top-ranked Xinjiang Flying Tige (3-0) 103-73 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Xinjiang Flying Tige. Shandong Bulls managed to win second period 24-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward James Singleton (203-81, college: Murray St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 15 rebounds and Montenegrin-American guard Quincy Douby (191-84, college: Rutgers) who added 27 points, 5 assists and 4 steals during the contest (made all of his seven free throws). Four Xinjiang Flying Tige players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Myron Allen (180-79, college: Lee JC) responded with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import forward Rodney White (206-80, college: Charlotte) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Xinjiang Flying Tige has a solid three-game winning streak. The victory allowed Xinjiang Flying Tige (3-0) to climb to the second place. Shandong Bulls lost third consecutive game. The team is currently in thirteenth position with a 1-3 record. Xinjiang Flying Tige will face Guandong Tigers (#6) in Dongguan in the next round. Shandong Bulls will play at home against Qingdao Double Star (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
