Bnei Hasharon (#5) forced the game against Hapoel J-M (#2) into an overtime, but lost by nine points 93-102 on Sunday night. The hosts trailed by 9 points after three quarters before their 32-23 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 9-point victory in overtime. Strangely Bnei Hasharon outrebounded Hapoel J-M 39-26 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 59.3 percentage. Hapoel J-M looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American guard Willie Solomon (187-78, college: Clemson) fired a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 assists for the winners. The former international forward Moshe Mizrahi (202-80, agency: Avi Zilberman) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds. American power forward Shawn James (208-83, college: Northeastern, agency: ZAG Advocates) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points, 18 rebounds and 6 blocks (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and his fellow American import forward Lee Nailon (204-75, college: TCU) added 23 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Hapoel J-M maintains second position with 7-3 record having just two points less than leader Maccabi T-A. Bnei Hasharon lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth place with five games lost. They share the position with Galil Gilboa.
