Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked CS Bologna (5-5) was defeated at home by second ranked Armani Milano (8-2) 94-81 on Sunday. CS Bologna was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Armani Milano forced 20 CS Bologna turnovers. American guard David Hawkins (193-82, college: Temple) scored 19 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and international forward Stefano Mancinelli (203-83) chipped in 21 points during the contest. Armani Milano will face Cimberio Varese (#4) at home in the next round. CS Bologna will play against Vanoli-Braga in Cremona and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
