Regular Season Round 20: Fukuoka Rizing - Hamamatsu P. 68-74

Date: December 19, 2010
The most interesting game of round 20 in the BJ League was a home defeat of 4th ranked Fukuoka Rizing (12-8) to first ranked Hamamatsu Phoenix (18-2) 68-74. It ended the two-game winning streak of Fukuoka Rizing. The game without a history. Hamamatsu Phoenix led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Jeffrey Parmer (203-85, college: Florida Atlantic) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Wayne Arnold (193-84, college: Tennessee St., agency: ACMT) who added 20 points during the contest. Hamamatsu Phoenix's coach Kazuo Nakamura used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American swingman Michael Parker (200-81, college: Evergreen St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 15 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Nile Murry (193-83, college: TCU) scored 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Hamamatsu Phoenix stay at first position. Fukuoka Rizing is currently in fourth place with a 12-8 record. Hamamatsu Phoenix are looking forward to face league's second-placed Shiga Lakestars at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Fukuoka Rizing will play against Kyoto Hannaryz and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
