Ninth-ranked Takamatsu FA (5-13) gave a tough game to third ranked Okinawa GK (13-7). The visitors from Okinawa managed to secure only two-point victory 69-67. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests were ahead by 1 point but lost the second period ending it with a 7-point deficit before their 20-11 run, which allowed them to win the game. American center Jeff Newton (205-81, college: Indiana) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. The other American import swingman Carlos Dixon (202-81, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Strategic Sports) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American center Terrance Farley (208-85, college: Louisville) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds and guard Satoshi Takeda (185-80) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Takamatsu FA. Four Takamatsu FA players scored in double figures. Despite the victory Okinawa GK stay at third position having just five points less than leader Osaka Evessa. Takamatsu FA lost third consecutive game. The team is currently in sixth place with a 5-13 record. Okinawa GK's next round opponent will be Oita Heat Devils (#7) on the road. Takamatsu FA will play against Toyama Grouses and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
