Bottom-ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (0-11) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 11th consecutive match to fifth ranked Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion (7-4) 46-88 on Monday evening. The game without a history. Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Hapoel Tel-Aviv's 26. Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion outrebounded Hapoel Tel-Aviv 53-21 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Alysha Clark (178-87, college: Middle Tenn.St.) who had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 14 rebounds. Her fellow American import forward Khadijah Whittington (186-86, college: N.Carolina St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion's coach Shira Haelion felt very confident using 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Rachel Jones (170-87, college: St.Mary's (TX)) produced 16 points, 7 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and Latvian forward Laura Audere (180-84) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. The victory allowed Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion (7-4) (very successful season as for the D1 newcomer) to climb to the third place. They share it with Ramat Hen and Maccabi Ashdod.
