No shocking result in a game in Ciudad Obregon where ninth ranked Huracanes (22-14) smashed 11th ranked Potros (17-19) 84-55 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 84-55. Huracanes forced 25 Potros turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Huracanes especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.1 percentage. American guard Tony Bobbitt (193-79, college: Cincinnati) fired 31 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. The other American import power forward Robert Hornsby (196-82, college: Troy) chipped in 13 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Huracanes players scored in double figures. American-Guyanese forward Gordon James (198-79, college: Bridgeport) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds and American guard Steve Monreal (180, college: Cal.St.-Monterey) added 7 points respectively for lost side. Potros' coach Dan Tacheny gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Huracanes has a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Lechugueros and Lobos Grises. Loser Potros keep the eleventh position with 19 games lost. Huracanes will face higher ranked Angeles (#6) in Puebla in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Potros will play on the road against Volcanes (#18) in Toluca.
