The game with biggest result difference took place in Hangzhou. Local Zhejiang Cyclones (1-4) lost to seventh ranked Shanghai Sharks (3-2) 77-93 on Wednesday night. The game was mostly controlled by Shanghai Sharks. Zhejiang Cyclones managed to win fourth quarter 31-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Shanghai Sharks dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Zhejiang Cyclones' 34. American swingman Devin Green (201-82, college: Hampton) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and power forward Ligang Wang (204-85) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). American power forward Josh Boone (208-84, college: Connecticut) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds and the other American import guard Michael James (184-75, college: Duquesne) scored 21 points, 6 assists and 6 steals (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Shanghai Sharks has a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Zhejiang Cyclones lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifteenth position with four games lost. They share it with Jilin and Fujian. Shanghai Sharks will meet at home bottom-ranked Jilin Tigers (#17) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Zhejiang Cyclones will play against Shanxi Zhongyu in Taiyuan.
