There was a small surprise when ninth ranked Apollon Patras (4-4) won at home against 7th ranked Ermis Lagkada (4-4) 76-70. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Ermis Lagkada won fourth quarter 22-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was guard Nikos Argyropoylos (188-78) who scored 20 points and 5 assists. Guard Giannis Lianos (194-88) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. Center Giorgos Anagnostopoulos (207-80) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and forward Stratos Nisiotis (203-78) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Ermis Lagkada players scored in double figures. Apollon Patras has a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Ermis Lagkada and Periko/Arhelaos. Ermis Lagkada lost third consecutive game. Apollon Patras' next round opponent will be league's leader KAOD in Dramas and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
