Very expected game in Jinjiang where 16th ranked Fujian SBS XunXin (1-4) was defeated by third ranked Beijing Ducks (4-1) 98-87 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Beijing Ducks. Fujian SBS XunXin managed to win fourth quarter 19-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American power forward Randolph Morris (211-86, college: Kentucky) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds for the winners and Jordanian forward Zaid Abbaas (203-83) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds. American center Dwayne Jones (211-83, college: St.Joseph's) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 20 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and forward TaiLong Zhao (193-90) scored 21 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Beijing Ducks has a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain third place with 4-1 record having just -1 point less than leader DongGuan, which they share with Bayi. Loser Fujian SBS XunXin dropped to the fifteenth position with four games lost. They share it with Zhejiang C. and Jilin. Beijing Ducks will meet at home Bayi Fubang (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Fujian SBS XunXin will play against the league's second-placed Xinjiang Flying Tige (#2) in Urumqi.
