Regular Season Round 8: Ikaroi Serron - Panerythraikos 68-60

Not a big story in a game when 16th ranked Panerythraikos (2-6) lost to eighth ranked Ikaroi Serron (5-3) in Serres 60-68. It looked good early as Panerythraikos took an 6-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Ikaroi Serron had a 20-8 second period charge getting the lead and Panerythraikos was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 60-68. The best player for the winners was forward Filipp Simeonidis (204-80, agency: Court Side) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Kostas Totsios (191-78) chipped in 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Nikos Kourtis (195-77) produced 19 points and 6 rebounds and guard Stelios Kontoudis (185-73) added 13 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ikaroi Serron moved-up to second place, which they share with 4 other teams. Panerythraikos lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with six games lost.
