There was no surprise in Rustavi where 9th ranked GSAU (2-8) was defeated by fifth ranked Energy Invest (7-2) 74-66. GSAU was ahead by 7 points at the halftime before a 43-28 second half run of Energy Invest. Cameroonian forward Talba Toudjani (201-80) notched a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Beka Tsivtsivadze (190-89) supported him with 23 points and 5 assists. Even 18 points by guard George Khaniashvili (194-89) did not help to save the game for GSAU. Center Goga Javakhshvili (200-92) added 12 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Four GSAU players scored in double figures. Energy Invest have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to second place. GSAU lost seventh consecutive game.
