A very interesting game took place in Tianjin. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 14th ranked TianJin Rongcheng (1-4) to eighth ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (4-2) 96-98 on Friday evening slightly avoiding a big embarassment. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 29-16. But TianJin Rongcheng won second period 22-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Zhejiang Guangsha Lions won last quarter 27-26. American guard Javaris Crittenton (196-87, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Priority Sports) scored 54 points (!!!), 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and forward Yongpeng Zhang (208-90) chipped in 9 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Ivorian-French power forward Herve Lamizana (207-81, college: Rutgers) with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and American power forward Lee Benson (208-73, college: Brown Mackie, agency: Paris Global Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 28 points and 16 rebounds. Four TianJin Rongcheng players scored in double figures. TianJin Rongcheng's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 4 other teams. TianJin Rongcheng lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with four games lost. They share it with Qingdao DS. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions will meet at home league's leader DongGuan Leopards in the next round and it may be the game of the week. TianJin Rongcheng will play against Zhejiang Cyclones (#15) in Hangzhou and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
