We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 14th ranked TianJin Rongcheng (1-5) lost to fifteenth ranked Zhejiang Cyclones (2-5) in Tianjin 94-108 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Zhejiang Cyclones. TianJin Rongcheng managed to win fourth quarter 26-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. TianJin Rongcheng was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for American guard Michael James (184-75, college: Duquesne) who helped to win the game recording 30 points and 5 assists. His fellow American import power forward Josh Boone (208-84, college: Connecticut) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. American power forward Lee Benson (208-73, college: Brown Mackie, agency: Paris Global Sports) answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 19 rebounds and Ivorian-French power forward Herve Lamizana (207-81, college: Rutgers) added 23 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for TianJin Rongcheng. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Zhejiang Cyclones moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Jilin. TianJin Rongcheng lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the sixteenth position with five games lost. Zhejiang Cyclones will face league's leader DongGuan Leopards at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. TianJin Rongcheng will play against Jilin Tigers (#14) in Changchun and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
