There was a small surprise when ninth ranked Takamatsu FA (6-14) beat on the road 6th ranked Toyama Grouses (6-14) 81-70 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 49-34 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Takamatsu FA forced 19 Toyama Grouses turnovers. Strangely Toyama Grouses outrebounded Takamatsu FA 45-31 including 33 on the defensive glass. Toyama Grouses were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American players dominated also this game. Quite impressive performance for forward Jefferey Price (203-85, college: Miss.Valley St.) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 8 rebounds. Center Terrance Farley (208-85, college: Louisville) contributed with 14 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Forward John Davis (198-84, college: Tarleton St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and forward Jerrell Smith (206-85, college: Cal.St.-Dominguez H.) added 16 points and 12 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) in the effort for Toyama Grouses. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Takamatsu FA moved-up to seventh place, which they share with defeated Toyama Grouses. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
