Regular Season Round 15: Mallorca - Andorra 75-85

The biggest surprise of round 15 in LEB Silver was guest River Andorra's (#2) road victory over Basquet Mallorca (#3) 85-75 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Basquet Mallorca. The game was mostly controlled by River Andorra. Basquet Mallorca managed to win fourth quarter 26-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American forward Robert Johnson (203-81, college: Oregon) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import center Justin Howard (208-81, college: Mercer) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds. River_Andorra's coach Joan Penarroya used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Joan Carles Bivia (185-85) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists and center Antoni Jaume Vicens (202-90, agency: BrezoPro) added 17 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. River Andorra has a solid series of three victories in a row. River Andorra maintains second place with 11-3 record having just one point less than leader Clavijo. Basquet Mallorca at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. River Andorra is looking forward to face Plasencia Extremadura (#6) on the road in the next round. Basquet Mallorca will play against Prat Juventud and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
