LEB Gold top team - Obradoiro CAB (15-1) managed to deliver another win on Wednesday. This time they beat ninth ranked Lleida Basquet (7-9) 84-75. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Lleida Basquet. Lleida Basquet was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 6-point lead after three quarters before a 16-11 charge of Obradoiro CAB, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Oriol Junyent (207-76) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 7 rebounds. Argentinian-Italian guard Javier Bulfoni (192-76) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Four Obradoiro CAB players scored in double figures. Obradoiro CAB's coach Moncho Fernandez used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American swingman Mildon Ambres (198-84, college: S.Nazarene, agency: Impact Basketball) replied with 15 points and 5 rebounds and Ghanian guard Alhaji Mohammed (192-81, college: Louisville, agency: Beo Basket) added 18 points in the effort for Lleida Basquet. Obradoiro CAB maintains first position with 15-1 record. Lleida Basquet at the other side dropped to the tenth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Girona. Obradoiro CAB are looking forward to face Ford_Burgos (#4) at home in the next round. Lleida Basquet will play against Lobe_Huesca (#16) and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
