LNBP top team - Pioneros (27-9) managed to deliver another win on Wednesday. This time they beat eleventh ranked Potros (17-19) in Cancun 100-88. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Potros. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Pioneros shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 63.2 percentage. American players dominated the game. The winners were led by guard Jeremiah Dominguez (168-85, college: Portland St.) who scored that evening 21 points and 4 assists and center Rammel Allen (210-79, college: Bridgeport) supported him with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Even 24 points by forward Sammy Monroe (198-85, college: Newberry, agency: Prossin Sports Management) did not help to save the game for Potros. Forward Jamaal Thomas (202-80, college: Angelo St.) added 20 points. Five Pioneros and four Potros players scored in double figures. Pioneros maintains first position with 27-9 record, which they share with Fuerza Regia. Loser Potros keep the eleventh place with 19 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
