We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Lappeenranta where 10th ranked LrNMKY (6-17) was defeated by eleventh ranked Salon Vilpas (6-17) 91-85 on Thursday. The guests trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 58-47 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for Nigerian guard Nick Okorie (185-88, college: Texas Tech) who led his team to a victory scoring 37 points (!!!) and 4 assists. Forward Samu Kaaresvirta (192-81) helped adding 20 points. American forward HL Coleman (202-74, college: Wyoming) responded with 32 points (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and the other American import guard James Lewis (191-86, college: Fresno Pacific) scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Four LrNMKY players scored in double figures. Salon Vilpas moved-up to tenth place, which they share with defeated LrNMKY. Salon Vilpas will face bottom-ranked Porvoon_Tarmo (#12) at home in the next round.
