The game in Shanghai was quite interesting. Leader Xinjiang Flying Tige (8-0) played at the court of 5th ranked Shanghai Sharks (5-4). Xinjiang Flying Tige defeated Shanghai Sharks 87-75. Shanghai Sharks were ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 46-33 second half run of Xinjiang Flying Tige. They made 24-of-30 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. It was a good game for American guard Quincy Douby (191-84, college: Rutgers) who led his team to a victory with 33 points (!!!) (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!). The former international center Bateer Mengke (210-75) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. Four Xinjiang Flying Tige players scored in double figures. American forward Mike Harris (198-83, college: Rice) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and international guard Wei LiuWei (190-80) added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists in the effort for Shanghai Sharks. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Xinjiang Flying Tige. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with DongGuan. Shanghai Sharks at the other side dropped to the seventh place with four games lost. They share the position with Liaoning and Jiangsu. Xinjiang Flying Tige will play against Shanxi Zhongyu (#15) in Taiyuan in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Shanghai Sharks will play on the road against Qingdao Double Star (#14) and hope to get back on the winning track.
