Undefeated leader DongGuan Leopards delivered the eighth consecutive win on Friday night. This time they crushed 11th ranked Jilin Tigers (3-6) 111-78. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Jilin Tigers. The game without a history. DongGuan Leopards led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Jilin Tigers' players. 28 personal fouls committed by Jilin Tigers helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Nigerian guard Josh-Emmanuel Akognon (180-86, college: Cal.St. Fullerton) who scored 27 points and 8 assists. American-Lebanese power forward Jackson Vroman (208-81, college: Iowa St.) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. Five DongGuan Leopards players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Jameel Watkins (211-77, college: Georgetown) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points, 17 rebounds and 4 blocks and forward Jiang Du (200-82) added 16 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. DongGuan Leopards (8-0) have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with a perfect record of 8 victories in a row, which they share with Xinjiang. Jilin Tigers at the other side keep the eleventh position with six games lost. They share it with Zhejiang C.. DongGuan Leopards is looking forward to face Liaoning Hunters (#8) in Yingkou in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Jilin Tigers will play at home against Foshan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
