The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Dart Killester (10-1) in Dublin on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by second ranked DCU Saints (6-6) 88-81. It ended at the same time the ten-game winning streak of Dart Killester. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. DCU Saints forced 22 Dart Killester turnovers and outrebounded them 46-30 including a 22-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for DCU Saints especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 62.5 percentage. It was a good game for Latvian center Martins Provizors (202-87) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international guard Emmett Donnelly (186-78) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals for the winners. Naturalized American forward Jermaine Turner (195-74, college: Dowling) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and the former international guard Issac Westbrooks (190-85) added 20 points in the effort for Dart Killester. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. DCU Saints maintains second position with 6-6 record having three points less than leader UL Eagles. Defending champion Dart Killester still keeps top place with one game lost. DCU Saints are looking forward to face league's leader UL Eagles in Limerick in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Dart Killester will play at home against Belfast Star and is hoping to win this game.
