Mazzeo San Severo's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after 12 consecutive loses. The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Fileni BPA (5-8)on the road game in Jesi 77-73 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 23-13 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Mazzeo San Severo made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Bulgarian-FYR Macedonian guard Riste Stefanov (198-81, agency: Interperformances) nailed 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and the former international guard Fabio Zanelli (196-76) accounted for 18 points. Four Mazzeo San Severo players scored in double figures.
