Regular Season Round 12: Maccabi Haifa - Netanya 91-83

Bottom-ranked Maccabi Haifa managed to get a third victory, breaking the six-game losing streak on Sunday night. This time they won against eighth-ranked Elitzur Netanya 91-83. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 50-39 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great shooting night for Maccabi Haifa especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was guard Frank Robinson (193-84, college: Cal.St. Fullerton, agency: Priority Sports) who scored 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Forward Marco Killingsworth (203-82, college: Indiana) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Romeo Travis (201-84, college: Akron) who recorded 24 points and 7 rebounds and guard Adrian Banks (191-86, college: NW Mississippi CC) added 18 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Maccabi Haifa (3-7) moved-up to ninth place. Loser Elitzur Netanya keeps the eighth position with eight games lost. Maccabi Haifa will meet bottom-ranked Ironi Ashkelon (#10) on the road in the next round. Elitzur Netanya will play against Bnei Hasharon in Hod Hasharon and hope to secure a win.
