Regular Season Round 12: Moycullen - UL Eagles 45-79

An interesting game for UL Eagles (9-2) which played road game in Moycullen against 4th ranked Moycullen (1-11). First ranked UL Eagles had an easy win 79-45. UL Eagles dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Moycullen's 30. UL Eagles outrebounded Moycullen 41-26 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by American power forward Cameron Mitchell (201-88, college: Willamette, agency: N.E.T.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 30 points and 18 rebounds and the former international forward Stephen King (196-86) supported him with 10 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Even 16 points and 6 rebounds by American forward Mason Ambler (198-85, college: Coker, agency: R.H.Consultancy) did not help to save the game for Moycullen. Guard Michael Dowd (178-87) added 9 points and 6 rebounds. Moycullen's coach Enda Byrt gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. UL Eagles has a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-2 record. Moycullen lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with 11 games lost. UL Eagles will meet league's second-placed DCU Saints in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Moycullen will play against the league's second-placed UCC Demons in Cork and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
