Regular Season Round 10: Shanxi Zh. - Xinjiang FT 80-100

Very expected game when 15th ranked Shanxi Zhongyu (2-7) was smashed by top-ranked Xinjiang Flying Tige (9-0) in Taiyuan 100-80 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Xinjiang Flying Tige. Shanxi Zhongyu managed to win third quarter 26-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Quite impressive performance for American forward James Singleton (203-81, college: Murray St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). The other American import guard Quincy Douby (191-84, college: Rutgers) contributed with 22 points for the winners. American forward Leon Rodgers (199-80, college: N.Illinois) replied with 19 points and 9 rebounds and Jordanian guard Osama Daghlas (199-79, college: Midwestern St.) added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Shanxi Zhongyu. Five Xinjiang Flying Tige and four Shanxi Zhongyu players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Xinjiang Flying Tige have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with DongGuan. Shanxi Zhongyu lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth place with seven games lost. Xinjiang Flying Tige will face TianJin Rongcheng (#16) in Tianjin in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Shanxi Zhongyu will play on the road against Qingdao Double Star and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
