Another upset was a game between Shanghai Sharks (5-5) and Qingdao Double Star (3-6), which took place in Qingdao. Higher ranked Shanghai Sharks lost to fourteenth ranked Qingdao Double Star in a road game 91-96. Shanghai Sharks were ahead by 5 points at the halftime before a 32-14 third quarter run of Qingdao Double Star. Qingdao Double Star shot 29 for 42 from the free-throw line, while Shanghai Sharks only scored nine points from the stripe.
