There was no surprise in Changchun where 14th ranked Jilin Tigers (3-8) were defeated by seventh ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (6-4) 85-78 on Wednesday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Jilin Tigers won third quarter 24-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions had a 35-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Zhejiang Guangsha Lions made 10 blocks. The best player for the winners was American guard Tre Kelley (182-85, college: S.Carolina) who scored 23 points and 6 assists. American-Puerto Rican center Peter John Ramos (222-85) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Five Zhejiang Guangsha Lions players scored in double figures. American power forward Jameel Watkins (211-77, college: Georgetown) produced a double-double by scoring 26 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists and international guard Shulong Yu (185-90) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions maintains seventh place with 6-4 record. Jilin Tigers lost their third game in a row.
