Very predictable result in Nuevo Laredo where fourth ranked Toros (25-11) beat 9th ranked Huracanes (22-14) 76-66 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Toros. Huracanes managed to win fourth quarter 22-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 26 personal fouls committed by Huracanes helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was naturalized American forward Quentin Joseph (200-84, college: McNeese St.) who scored 20 points and 8 rebounds. American forward Adrian Henning (203-82, college: Austin Peay St.) chipped in 9 points and 7 rebounds. The former international guard Omar Quintero (183-81, college: S.Nazarene) produced 24 points and 6 rebounds and American center Albert Fuqua (211-83, college: UTSA) added 13 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the guests. Toros has a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 25-11 record, which they share with Halc.Rojos. Huracanes at the other side dropped to the seventh place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Lechugueros and Lobos Grises. Toros is again looking forward to face Huracanes (#8) in Tampico in the next round. Huracanes will have a break next round.
