Regular Season Round 11: Fujian QB - Bayi R. 100-107

Very expected game in Jinjiang where 17th ranked Fujian SBS XunXin (1-9) was defeated by fifth ranked Bayi Fubang (7-4) 107-100 on Wednesday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Bayi Fubang looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international center ZhiZhi Wang (214-79) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds. International forward Lei Wang (203-86) chipped in 20 points and 5 assists. American center Dwayne Jones (211-83, college: St.Joseph's) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 16 rebounds and power forward Lei Guo (201-83) added 22 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Four Fujian SBS XunXin players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bayi Fubang moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Beijing and Jiangsu. Fujian SBS XunXin lost their seventh game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. Bayi Fubang will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Fujian SBS XunXin will play against Jiangsu Dragons (#6) in Nanjing.
