A very close game took place in Lodi between Aget Imola and Assigeco BPL. Eighth ranked Aget Imola (8-6) got a very close victory on the road over 12th ranked Assigeco BPL (5-9). Aget Imola managed to escape with a 1-point win 78-77 on Thursday evening. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 22-16. But Assigeco BPL won second period 22-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Nigerian forward Ndudi Ebi (206-84, college: Arizona, agency: Priority Sports) notched a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds to lead the effort and American guard Trent Whiting (185-76, college: BYU) supported him with 16 points. Even 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by American guard Paul Marigney (192-82, college: St.Mary's, CA) did not help to save the game for Assigeco BPL. Naturalized Argentinian swingman Bruno Cerella (194-86, agency: Players Group) added 16 points and 4 assists for the hosts. Four Assigeco BPL players scored in double figures. Aget Imola has a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Tuscany PT. Assigeco BPL at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with nine games lost. They share it with Trenkwalder and Fileni BPA. Aget Imola will play against higher ranked Fastweb CM (#3) in Casale in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Assigeco BPL will play on the road against Naturhouse Ferrara (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
