Regular Season Round 19: Groningen - Rotterdam 75-71

DBL top team - GasTerra (16-2) added another victory to their record on Thursday. This time they beat tenth ranked Rotterdam (1-18) in Groningen 75-71. Rotterdam was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 7-point lead after three quarters before a 24-13 charge of GasTerra, which allowed them to win the game. GasTerra outrebounded Rotterdam 58-31 including a 29-11 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a quality performance for American guard Jason Dourisseau (196-83, college: Nebraska) who led the winners and scored 14 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Canadian swingman Steve Ross (201-80, college: Santa Clara, agency: Court Side) accounted for 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. International power forward Patrick Hilliman (206-82, college: High Point, agency: R.H.Consultancy) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and the former international forward Daniel Jones (200-79, agency: R.H.Consultancy) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Rotterdam in the defeat. Four Rotterdam players scored in double figures. Defending champion maintains first place with 16-2 record. Rotterdam lost their fifth game in a row. They stay dead last with 18 lost games. GasTerra will meet at home Giants (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rotterdam will play against ABC in Amsterdam.
