Regular Season Round 13: Galil Gilboa - Hapoel J-M 73-74

The biggest surprise of round 13 was guest Hapoel J-M's (8-5) road victory over Galil Gilboa (#4) 74-73 on Thursday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Galil Gilboa. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Galil Gilboa won third quarter 21-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American guard Willie Solomon (187-78, college: Clemson) fired 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. International forward Lior Hakmon (202-85, agency: Gross Zeev ISA) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. American guard Rodney Green (196-88, college: La Salle) produced 22 points and international power forward Ido Kozikaro (203-78) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Hapoel J-M moved-up to second place, which they share with Maccabi Ashdod. Defending champion Galil Gilboa keeps the fourth position with six games lost. They share it with Bnei Hasharon. Hapoel J-M is looking forward to face Ironi Ashkelon (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Galil Gilboa will play against Maccabi Rishon (#7) in Rishon Le-Zion and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
