Regular Season Round 14: Musel Pikes - Soleuvre 84-64

Rather expected game in Stadrbredimus where 9th ranked Soleuvre (4-10) was crushed by sixth ranked Musel Pikes (7-8) 84-64 on Friday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Musel Pikes's preassure prevailed and they won that period 32-18 extending their advantage to 20 points. Musel Pikes forced 22 Soleuvre turnovers. The best player for the winners was American forward Trenton Wurtz (203-83, college: Indiana St.) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds. The former international guard Guy Schmit (185-80) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Four Musel Pikes players scored in double figures. Musel Pikes' coach Frank Baum used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Marcus Kennedy (193-84, college: Montevallo, agency: Interperformances) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds and forward David Controguerra (194-86) added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Musel Pikes has a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 7-8 record. Soleuvre at the other side keeps the ninth place with ten games lost. Musel Pikes will meet Contern (#8) on the road in the next round. Soleuvre will play against the league's leader T71 in Dudelange and hope to secure a win.
