Regular Season Round 12: Shandong FB - Shanxi Zh. 91-78

Everything could happen in Jinan at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Shandong Bulls and 15th ranked Shanxi Zhongyu had identical 3-7 record. This time Shandong Bulls used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Taiyuan 91-78. Shanxi Zhongyu was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Shandong Bulls dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Shanxi Zhongyu's 40. The game was dominated by American players. It was a good game for forward Rodney White (206-80, college: Charlotte) who led his team to a victory with 30 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Myron Allen (180-79, college: Lee JC) contributed with 7 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Forward Leon Rodgers (199-80, college: N.Illinois) replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Marcus Williams (201-86, college: Arizona, agency: ZAG Advocates) added 13 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Shanxi Zhongyu. Four Shanxi Zhongyu players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Despite that victory Shandong Bulls went down to twelfth position due to points difference. Shanxi Zhongyu lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Foshan. Shandong Bulls will play against TianJin Rongcheng (#16) in Tianjin in the next round. Shanxi Zhongyu will play on the road against Guandong Tigers where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
