Regular Season Round 12: Fujian QB - Jiangsu D. 94-106

There was no surprise in Jinjiang where 17th ranked Fujian SBS XunXin (1-10) was defeated by sixth ranked Jiangsu Dragons (8-4) 106-94. The game was mostly controlled by Jiangsu Dragons. Fujian SBS XunXin managed to win second period 33-27. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Jiangsu Dragons dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Fujian SBS XunXin's 56. Jiangsu Dragons players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a good game for American swingman Antoine Wright (201-84, college: Texas A&M) who led his team to a victory with 33 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds. The former international center ZhengDong Tang (213-84) contributed with 24 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American swingman Andre Emmett (196-82, college: Texas Tech) replied with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals and the former international swingman SongLin Gong (195-81) added 16 points in the effort for Fujian SBS XunXin. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Fujian SBS XunXin's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Jiangsu Dragons has a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Beijing. Fujian SBS XunXin lost eighth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Jiangsu Dragons will play against Bayi Fubang (#7) in Ningbo in the next round. Fujian SBS XunXin will play at home against Shanghai Sharks (#11) to get more than just one victory in their record.
