No shocking result in a game when twelfth ranked Qingdao Double Star (5-6) defeated at home 16th ranked TianJin Rongcheng (2-9) 99-85. TianJin Rongcheng was ahead by 3 points after three quarters before a 33-16 charge of Qingdao Double Star, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 19 TianJin Rongcheng turnovers. TianJin Rongcheng was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American guard Dee Brown (185-84, college: Illinois) who led his team to a victory with 39 points (!!!), 5 assists and 5 steals. The other American import forward Charles Gaines (201-81, college: S.Mississippi, agency: Gross Zeev ISA) contributed with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Qingdao Double Star has a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Zhejiang C. TianJin Rongcheng at the other side keeps the sixteenth position with nine games lost. Qingdao Double Star will play against league's second-placed DongGuan Leopards on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. TianJin Rongcheng will play against Shandong Bulls (#12) in Jinan and hopes to get back on the winning track.
