A1 top team - Athinaikos (10-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed tenth ranked Olympiakos (2-8) in Athens 88-40. The game without a history. Athinaikos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Olympiakos to just 4 points in third quarter. Athinaikos dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Olympiakos' 34 and made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Athinaikos forced 20 Olympiakos turnovers and outrebounded them 49-19 including a 19-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international guard Lolita Lymoura (180-85, agency: LBM Management) notched 11 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and American power forward LaToya Davis (186-84, college: Texas Tech) supported her with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Olympiakos will play against Proteas in Voula and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
