Huracanes (22-14) survived in overtime against Toros (25-11) by eight points 81-73. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Toros. Toros were ahead by 4 points after three quarters before a 25-21 charge of Huracanes, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 10-2. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Robert Hornsby (196-82, college: Troy) who led the winners and scored 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international guard Omar Quintero (183-81, college: S.Nazarene) accounted for 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. Five Huracanes players scored in double figures. American guard Anthony Rougeau (198-86, college: UNLV) came up with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds and American-Nigerian forward Ikechukwu Ofoegbu (205-85, college: SMU, agency: Paris Global Sports) added 14 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Toros in the defeat. Huracanes has a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Lechugueros and Lobos Grises. Toros at the other side keep the fourth position with 11 games lost. Huracanes' next round opponent will be again higher ranked Toros (#5) in Nuevo Laredo and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
