TTT Riga led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Latvijas Universitate's 22. TTT Riga forced 42 Latvijas Universitate turnovers and outrebounded them 55-31 including a 28-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Latvijas Universitate was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for international forward Dita Krumberga (183-84, college: Mt.St.Marys) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds. The former international guard Kristine Karklina (175-83) accounted for 24 points for the winning side. Five TTT Riga players scored in double figures. Guard Anete Vorma (165-89) came up with 9 points and guard Laura Purina (171-90, college: Northwestern (WY)) added 8 points respectively for Latvijas Universitate in the defeat. Latvijas Universitate's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. TTT Riga have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 12-0 record. Latvijas Universitate at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. They share it with RTU-Merks. TTT Riga will play against TTT Juniores (#4) in Riga in the next round. Latvijas Universitate will play on the road against Cesis and hopes to get back on the winning track.
